Dental Office Construction: ROI on Client Case Studies

E.H. Anderson PR creates case studies to tell clients’ success stories, like the one below about client Pearson ConstructionIn 2009, Dr. Donna Miller and Dr. Michelle Hinds realized their thriving dental practice in Waco was outgrowing their leased facility. So, they issued a competitive sealed bid for general contractors to construct a new building on Highway 84. Our client Pearson Construction was awarded the contract and partnered with architect Jane Kittner on a 4,985 SF structure for Creekwood Dental Arts.

The real return-on-investment (ROI) for a case study is demonstrating how a client’s work was successful in the most important areas for their customers’ industries. For example, in dental office construction, one challenge is organizing the building schedule in a way that minimally impacts patient appointments.

To continue scheduling patient appointments, Drs. Miller and Hinds needed to be able to set a specific day far in advance to move into the new medical facility. Most of the dental equipment that was being installed in this building was new, but a portion of the existing dental equipment from the previous location was to be relocated to the new location. Through thorough planning by Pearson, the dentists were able to continue seeing their patients as scheduled.

To set apart Pearson Construction’s work and showcase them as an expert dental office construction firm, we dug deeper to discover interesting qualities and above-and-beyond results on the project. In Dr. Miller and Dr. Hinds’ words, the building Pearson’s teams created for their practice can truly be called a work of art. The plot of land is located on the banks of creek channel, so the goal was preserving and capturing lovely views of the waterway and surrounding wooded areas.

Keeping our media background always in mind, we looked for newsworthy hooks for the project description. And we found one: its environmentally-friendly design. In the spirit of this natural conservation, the facility was also constructed utilizing many GREEN building techniques. It has a double roof deck with air space roof system with “Cool Roof” shingles, spray foam insulation under floor, walls, and roof, clerestory windows for natural lighting. All rainwater is captured from the roof drainage system and is stored in an on-site storage tank. Water is then recycled for landscaping and lawn irrigation purposes.
