Responsive, Quality Results

Problem:
We launched Assisting Hands Home Care‘s franchise public relations campaign under the leadership of an interim chief executive officer in 2007.  A couple of years later the permanent CEO changed the strategy of the campaign to be focused on regional development. After securing coverage for the Fort Myers, Chicago, Austin and Houston RDs, some owners felt our success was too focused on Texas. Rather than a Texas firm pitching their story on corporate’ nickel, they had could direct-hire a local PR firm. Corporate decided to go local too; a new firm was hired to handle franchisee grand opening press releases, corporate blogging, franchisee Facebook Pages and Google Places.  But after a year corporate’s franchise public relations firm had all but disappeared.  Franchisees were calling corporate asking about press releases that were never written and the length of time between Facebook posts.

Solution:
Soon after crossing paths with Liz Anderson at the International Franchising Association’s 2013 Annual Convention, Assisting Hands’ CEO decided to rehire E.H. Anderson PR due to their previous experience of prompt service and results.  It was at that point that our service to Assisting Hands shifted its franchise public relations campaign to online and social media marketing, video production as well as writing and distributing press releases.

Results:
Franchisee press releases were first on the agenda followed by Facebook posts and blogging.  Three months into the new contract, Assisting Hands expanded its video marketing campaign to include video franchisee testimonials to be used for corporate franchise public relations and to leverage the brand in local markets. Six months in, we became the corporate PR firm. E.H. Anderson PR has been able to enhance AHHC’s Entrepreneur listing, working towards getting the company listed in the 2015 Franchise 500. Our work also led to analyzing AHHC franchisees’ Google presence to ensure the franchise system is consistent across the Google platform.
