Client Hillsboro Chamber to Honor Individuals, Farmers and Businesses

HILLSBORO, TX January 30, 2014 — The Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce recognizes individuals, companies and organizations each year for significant contributions to the city.  The recipients will be honored at the Annual Chamber Banquet the evening of February 13 at the Outlets at Hillsboro.  Tickets can be purchased by calling the Chamber office at (254) 582-2481. The 2014 recipients of the Hall of Fame award are Jan and Jim Showers.  Jan was born in Hillsboro in 1942.  Her Dallas design firm is recognized as one of the most distinguished in the nation.  She married Jim Showers, who is an attorney, and they have two daughters. In addition to the Showers, the chamber will also recognize Hillsboro’s Farm Family of the Year, National Business of the Year, Local Business of the Year and Citizen of the Year during the banquet. “The banquet is a time to celebrate the heart of business, community and service to our neighbors,” said Vicki Hidde, executive director of the Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce.  “Not only do we celebrate the successes of the previous year, the banquet is an opportunity to update our members on future projects.” Banquet tickets starts at $45 for individuals.  Table prices begin at $350.  Banquet sponsorships are available.
