WACO, TX January 13, 2014 — Today, Care Net Pregnancy Center of Central Texas unveiled plans and launched a new website for its second adventure-race-styled event titled “Human Race Waco 2014.” This year, the organization has designed brand new race courses with built-in secret challenges, plus a new fundraising element for participants. Human Race Waco 2014 will take place on Saturday, April 26, 2014, and competitors who fundraise $300 or more by March 31, 2014 will have their registration fees waived. Human Race Waco 2014 will begin at Indian Spring Park, and stretches throughout Cameron Park. The four courses to choose from are: 5K Fun Run Course, Dri-Tri Course, Adventure Race Sprint Course and the Adventure Race Extreme Course.  No matter which of the four courses you choose, Human Race Waco 2014 will be a different race than you have ever run. Care Net invites everyone from casual athletes to hard-core tri-athletes to take part in the adventure. “There’s no other race like this in Waco, with something to attract all ages and levels of athletes. You don’t even have to be a runner to join in the fun!” said Care Net of Central Texas Chief Executive Officer Deborah McGregor. “Last year, we had more than 250 participants, and I feel there’s no reason that number won’t double this year. “We not only believe in life, but in EMBRACING life. There will be no fun left in the park when this year’s race is through!” Participants can race solo, in teams of two or three, or as a group such as an entire family. Early bird course registration prices are: $30 for the 5K Fun Run, $60 for the Dri-Tri, the Adventure Race Sprint or the Adventure Race Extreme Course. After March 26, 2014, the 5K Fun Run price goes up to $35, and the other course costs increase to $75. On the day of Human Race Waco 2014, the price for the 5K Fun Run will be $40, and the other courses increase to $90.
